Becoming a committee member allows you to become an advocate for local business growth and development, deepen your relationships with fellow business leaders, and influence the Chamber’s programs and services. Whether you choose to share your expertise through event planning, training, or lobbying for legislative affairs, your opportunities to help further the mission of the Chamber are endless as you help bring people and businesses together.

Which committee best suits your goals, interests and talents? Chamber committees and a description of the work each one does are listed below, along with the link to apply. While time commitments will vary depending on the committee chosen and your participation level, all committees are designed to broaden your network of contacts, challenge you to learn more about issues facing your business and community, and deepen your involvement in the Chamber.

Lakesiders Committee*

The official ambassador group of the Chamber provides ribbon cutting services, and welcomes dignitaries and VIP’s to Davis County. *This committee is by invitation only.

Fee: $175.00

Legislative Affairs Committee

This is the lobbying committee of the Chamber. Every member is invited at a pre-pay price of $300.00 per year. The committee meets frequently with local government leaders and legislators to ensure proper legislation of the business environment.

Military Affairs Committee

Annual committee fee includes base pass.

Fee: $125.00

Women in Business Committee

This Women in Business Committee is designed to deal with women in the workplace issues. This committee allows for a unique mentoring and networking opportunity for women. The committee meets for a luncheon the second Thursday of each month. (Annual fee does not include the price of lunch).

Fee: $65.00

Business Alliance Networking

This group meets 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month to exchange leads and build business relationships.

Taste of the Town

A taste of all of the local restaurants, entrance fee to be determined each year. Taste of the Town is designed to keep those who dine out in Davis County and encourage outsiders to visit Davis County for their culinary experiences.

Golf Tournament

Each year the Chamber hosts a Golf Tournament as a fundraising event for the Chamber. This event gives businesses an opportunity to reach other business decision makers by sponsoring or participating as a player.

Leadership Institute*

This committee, through unique monthly training events, enables individuals with ideas, skills and inspiration to become leaders, innovators and contributors at work, home and community. *This committee is by invitation only.
