The Davis Chamber is pleased to announce that their prestigious Legacy Award is being presented to Tage Flint, recently retired General Manager of the Weber Basin Water Conservancy District, at their Annual Awards Banquet on Thursday, September 29th, 2022. This event is held at the Davis Conference Center.
The Legacy Award is the highest honor the Executive Board of the Davis Chamber can bestow and is designed to recognize individuals or institutions that have demonstrated a significant positive impact on Davis County, sustained over years.
Tage Flint, along with being an exceptional individual and community servant, has worked in the water supply industry for over 35 years and just recently retired from managing Weber Basin Water District, one of Utah’s largest water authorities. He continues to advise on employee-management interaction, governmental affairs, and routinely interacts with congressional delegations in Washington, D.C.
He remains active in his community and industry, by serving on boards and committees. Most notably, he has served on the international board of the American Water Works Association, is a commissioner on the Utah Water Development Commission, and member of the Utah Water Task Force. He serves on the Salt Lake and Davis chambers of commerce boards of governors, Utah Water Users Association board, and co-chairs the Governor’s State Water Advisory Team. Mr. Flint is the recipient of lifetime service awards from the National Water Resources Association, American Water Works Association, and multiple state industry groups.
Tage is currently the General Manager of Crescent F, L.L.C. and UNP, L.L.C., managing natural resource holdings and providing public policy advisement.
He is an avid supporter of the United States Armed Forces and currently serves as a US Air Force and US Space Force Civic Leader in a support and advisory role to the respective service Chiefs of Staff at the Pentagon. He is the President of the Utah Defense Alliance and Executive Board member of the chamber’s Top of Utah Military Affairs Committee. Mr. Flint is a Utah National Guard Honorary Colonel and Hill AFB Wingman of the Year Honoree, National Guard Bronze Minuteman Awardee, and Utah Military Service Award recipient.
Mr. Flint is a Registered Professional Civil Engineer with a BS in Civil Engineering and a Master’s in Business Administration. He is married to Lisa who is a Registered Nurse, and they have two sons and six grandchildren. His hobbies include camping, reading, golf, and photography. Of special note is the fact that Tage’s father, Ivan Flint, was one of the first recipients of the Davis Chamber Legacy Award, twenty years prior.
The Chamber invites those who would like to help recognize this fine individual by attending or sponsoring the Davis Chamber of Commerce Business Awards Banquet, held on Thursday, September 29th, to contact Amberlee Bauman at amberlee@davischamberofcommerce.com or call at (801) 593-2207.
