The Davis Chamber is looking for an upbeat, positive, self-motivated individual with strong office management background with at least two to three years’ experience.
Position: Part-time (16-20 hours/week) Executive/Events Assistant
Primary responsibilities will be providing high-level administrative support, including but not limited to the following:
- Manage event details, such as locations, dates, time, catering, décor, entertainment, transportation, etc.
- Arrange speaker and presentation details.
- Create agendas, take minutes, and handle correspondence for boards and committees.
- Answer phones, direct calls and provide basic company information.
- Manage event RSVPs and check-in and update member, committee, and sponsor contact lists.
- Complete office duties, such as taking payments, ordering office supplies, preparing deposits, etc. as assigned.
- Ability to work with committees of volunteers to plan and execute events and to achieve diverse goals.
- Creativity and independent thinking.
- Ability to work within an environment of deadlines and due dates, prioritizing workload.
- A few times monthly is required to work early mornings and occasional evening or weekend hours in support of specific events and committees.
- Ability to multitask, deal with problems calmly and effectively, demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, etc.
- Handle travel and hotel arrangements as needed.
- Office software capabilities, including Microsoft Office Suite, etc. Other duties as required.
