Snowbasin Resort – Member of the Week

Snowbasin Resort is our featured member this week. Only about 30 minutes from Davis County, easy accessibility is one of the best things about Snowbasin. In addition to world-class skiing, Snowbasin Resort offers events year-round including concerts, mountain biking, hiking, Oktoberfest as well as luxurious lodges, event venues, restaurants and more! Their Grizzly Center is known for high-quality outdoor gear and clothing and is so amazing that people even bring their kids there for back to school shopping!

Snowbasin also has a national award-winning ski school, Learn and Earn. This is a three-year program designed to take never-ever skiers and snowboarders and teach them how to enjoy snow sports in a fun environment, with deals and specials to continue improving their skills over 3 years. It begins with a tour of the facility before ski season begins, tips on what to wear, and a personal fitting for Rossignol equipment to use during the program. In the first year, you receive three all-day lessons and a season pass upon completion of your lessons. During year two, you receive a season pass, 3 more all-day lessons, and the chance to purchase your gear. (If you have kids that grow you can swap out the gear once during the program.) Year three offers a premier season pass with all the perks and no blackout dates and an all-day private lesson for a great deal. This is such a great way to learn how to ski or snowboard with the correct form and at such a great price!

Another cool thing about Snowbasin is their gondolas. Did you know that Snowbasin has 3 out of the 5 longest lifts in Utah? That means you can spend more time on the slopes and less time on the lifts which is always a great idea!

Megan Collins, the Communications and Events Specialist at Snowbasin Resort, couldn’t be more passionate about Snowbasin! She told us about her backcountry skiing adventures and we (and her mom) are so glad she lived to tell the tale! When we asked her what she loved about the Davis Chamber she said she LOVES the newsletter! She loves seeing the upcoming events, the new businesses coming in and “geeks out” about newsletters.
